TORBEN

The name Torben means ‘thunder bearer’ in Denmark. Raised by a loving family who continues to support his care, Torben, like many domesticated wolves and wolfdogs ended up in an animal shelter when placement failed. At the shelter he was slotted for euthanization and the wolf rescue network stepped forward to remove this sentence. Rescued in August 2019, Torben is settling in at Wolf Connection and finding his place within the pack. We wanted to give him an appropriate name that honors where he came from and opens up room for his new path. It was also clear that there is truly a thundering inside of him. We are excited to find out more about Torben’s personality and lessons in the future!
