Gina Del Vecchio is the CEO of SAGE Veterinary Centers, one of the largest advanced veterinary care concerns in the country. With multiple private equity invested platforms under her leadership, Gina has led value creation for investors and founders far exceeding their original goals. As an executive leader, she builds and inspires teams to devote themselves to setting and reaching high-performance goals that create transformative growth and meaningful momentum. Throughout her career, Gina has honed the unique ability to tap into the mindset and potential of entrepreneurs and visionaries.
A recognized animal advocate, particularly in the area of welfare and protection, Gina facilitated the founding of SAGE Compassion for Animals, a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to providing financial assistance for veterinary care to help companion animals in crisis and end financial euthanasia due to the financial condition of the pet’s human companion. Gina and her daughter also rescue, rehabilitate, and release (when ecologically appropriate and ideal) a range of reptiles and birds who have been injured or displaced outside of their natural habitat.
An accomplished musician and composer, Gina earned her BA at Reed College in Oregon before earning her MBA in Environmentally Sustainable and Social Responsible Business at Green Mountain College in Vermont. She lives in northern California with her wife, daughter, and several species of animals in and around her home.
A favorite quote of Gina’s is: “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” ― Mahatma Gandhi
