A young, independent teenager chose Max because he was the most skittish of the puppies for sale. Lacking proper guidance, Max became highly self-protective and difficult to handle. In an attempt to find what he needed in an environment that wasn’t meeting his needs, he ended up destroying many things in their home.

At Wolf Connection, we respected Max’s strong boundaries and gave him the space he needed. Over time, he has shed many of his less positive coping strategies and has spent ample time with Nova, the pack nanny. Max exhibits the qualities of both a hunter and a peacekeeper, balancing his natural instincts with a growing sense of calm.
