In the first eight months of his life, Mazi experienced a tumultuous journey, moving between several homes and even living in the back of a car, never finding a stable environment to call his own. His name, which means “to be brave” in Blackfoot, perfectly embodies his resilience in the face of such uncertainty.

When Mazi arrived at Wolf Connection, program participants quickly noticed a remarkable transformation. As he began to settle into his new surroundings, it was as if he grew in stature and strength, both physically and emotionally. He often relies on the companionship and encouragement of his packmate, Nali, as he continues to navigate the journey toward confidence.
