Frequently Asked Questions
I can’t find your address on your website. Where are you located?
We are located in Acton, CA approximately 45 minutes north of Los Angeles. Once you register for an event, our address and all other needed information will be emailed to you. We don’t put our address on our site for the protection of the pack and the sanctuary.
Where can I find a list of your upcoming events?
All upcoming events are listed under our Events Calendar.
I registered for an event online but I didn’t receive an email back with your address and other information I need. What should I do?
Before contacting us, check your junk mail or spam. Then, check your email for a receipt or call your bank or credit card company to see if they registered the transaction. If so, Email Us.

I have a last-minute question or am lost on my way to an event but can’t seem to reach anyone. What should I do?
We are located in a very remote area and are often out of cell service range. We recommend that you reach out to us via phone before you embark on your trip (661) 434-7992, or Email Us with your question and your phone number. We will respond as quickly as possible.

What should I wear?
At all times of the year, you should wear: pants to protect your legs from twigs and shrubs, hiking boots or sturdy shoes for hiking, a light shirt along with some extra layers in case it gets cold towards the end of the day, and a hat to protect your face from the desert sun. If you happen to forget anything, we sell hats and shirts in The Wolf Connection Store amongst other necessities.

Why is it important that I sign my liability form before attending the event?
Completing the liability form online before the event helps us expedite the entry process and prevent unnecessary delays. Given that all attendees arrive simultaneously, an efficient check-in process ensures inclusive participation in the tour and enhances the overall experience of the day. Additionally, signing the liability agreement in advance allows you to read over the details in your own time and thoroughly understand what you are signing.

What if it is raining? Is the hike still happening?
Yes! Unless you receive an email or phone call from us indicating otherwise, please assume the hike is still proceeding as scheduled. Due to our remote location, weather conditions at our sanctuary may differ from those elsewhere in Los Angeles. In the event of rainfall, we have designated covered areas to offer shelter. Should there be a possibility of rain, we recommend dressing appropriately.

Are kids allowed?
Yes, but due to the nature of the public hike and for the safety of our animals and guests, children must be 10 years or older to attend a public event. If you are interested in bringing children under the age of 10, we would happily accommodate them for a private visit from ages 7 and up. Email Us for more information. Further, Wolf Connection requires one supervising parent or guardian adult per two minors. Non-parental supervising adults must be over the age of 25. Please remember that you are responsible for your children while on Wolf Connection property. If, for any reason, we feel that your child’s behavior is in any way endangering themselves, the animals, or other guests, you may be asked to leave the event. If your children are under 4 feet tall, you may be asked for proof of age.

Can I bring my dog?
No! You will be hiking with a pack of wolves and we don’t want to cause confusion in the pack with a new canine present or put your dog in a potentially dangerous situation.

How long and strenuous is the hike?
The hike is just under 1.5 miles and is beginning/intermediate level. Depending on the size and pace of the group, it can take 40-50 minutes. Much of the hike is relatively flat with a few hills. You may return to the sanctuary with a guide at any time.

Is the Wolf Connection sanctuary handicap accessible?
Please Email Us to discuss your specific needs before registering for any event. Wolf Connection will accommodate all needs; however, the Wolf Connection Team needs to be made aware beforehand of such needs so that we may provide appropriate manpower to our highly attended events. The walking terrain of our property consists of compacted dirt trails with bumps, divots, and holes caused by natural elements. See “How Long and Strenuous Is the Hike” for details about Wolf Connection hiking trails.
