Wolf Connection is the global innovator in facilitating the restorative human-animal relationship with a unique focus on Wolf Therapy®. We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization and wolf rescue, empowering all beings to believe in their worthiness, their inner capacity for personal growth, and the power of the pack. Through direct relationship with wolves, Wolf Connection program participants discover self-confidence and purpose; clearer communication; and a sense of oneness with themselves and the world around them. Located in the mountains above Los Angeles, our 165-acre facility serves as safe haven and home to rescued wolves and wolfdogs who have been subjected to illegal ownership, abandonment, and abuse. Here, our Pack Services team provides one-of-a-kind care and enrichment to our wolf pack, who become ambassadors of hope to all who witness them.

Scientific evidence shows that wolves were our first teachers, an ancestral relationship borne out of community and survival. From Wolf Connection’s first days, we’ve witnessed this collaborative bond—the magic it catalyzes and lives it saves. We continue to distill our lessons from wolves into challenging, initiatory social/emotional programs and experiences that transform lives – both human and wolf. The land Wolf Connection inhabits, the power of the group experience as an antidote to isolation, the healing of interacting with wolves, and the acts of service are some of the most potent elements of Wolf Connection experiences. Through our growing platform, we are also helping change the narratives about wolves that have been passed down for centuries while sharing the essence of these majestic, often misunderstood animals.

Since 2009 we’ve worked with students, foster care organizations, probation camps, veterans, anti-recidivism advocates, and corporate groups, as well as offering immersive programs for female-identifying adults. These core programs introduce rich medicine for our modern lives, as do our in-person, one-day experiences. The Wolf Connection podcast more deeply investigates the intricate relationship of wolves and humans through conversations with scientists, preservationists, and others who have in-depth knowledge of and experience with wolves. Most recently we’ve developed an extraordinary, multimedia educational experience–Wolf Lessons for Human Lives–a platform for youth around the world. Considered our “Academy,” it’s currently available to any school or group around the world for purchase.

The genesis of Wolf Connection started in 2008 with our founder Teo Alfero, a native of Argentina, who had a passion for working with and empowering foster youth. He rescued a young wolfdog Tala, when she was just four weeks old. Soon after, when Teo was looking for a way to take his youth mentoring program to the next level and simultaneously looking for a playmate for Tala, he was introduced to a pack of sixteen wolfdogs, and thus the idea of Wolf Connection was born.
