When we first came across Wynter’s photo online at the West Valley Animal Shelter, we felt an undeniable pull to meet this sweet girl. Having been brought in as a stray, she went unclaimed during the waiting period, leaving us with little knowledge of her background. Despite this uncertainty, there was something about her gentle demeanor that resonated with us.
Wynter bears a striking resemblance to our male nanny, Wylie, and their bond is truly heartwarming. Both share an intuitive understanding of one another, with Wylie often taking on a protective role as Wynter navigates her new environment. Their connection is evident in the way they interact—playful yet supportive, embodying the essence of a close-knit family.
Currently, Wynter shares her space with Hoven, a wolf who is nearly twice her size. Their friendship is nothing short of remarkable; we affectionately refer to them as “Big and Little.” Together, they complement each other perfectly, with Wynter’s spirited energy balancing Hoven’s calm presence. Watching their playful antics and the way they communicate adds a delightful dynamic to our pack. Wynter’s ability to form deep connections and her affectionate nature suggest she is destined to thrive in this loving environment.
