3 years ago Doris met Teo, Maya, Rocky, and Zimba at a meet n’ greet photo event at Wolf Creek Restaurant in Santa Clarita. For a small donation, you could take a picture with one of the wolves. As soon as she laid eyes on the three wolves Maya, Rocky, and Zimba she immediately fell in love with them all! She started going to Teo’s monthly hikes/potlucks where they hiked with the wolves and then had a nice meal outside. She was hooked and got to know all the wolves and volunteers. She learned all she could about wolves and started volunteering a few years later. There is nowhere else she would rather be. Wolf Connection and wolves are her passion. Skiing, snow, and hiking are also passions of hers and she goes up to the Eastern Sierras as often as possible. Another passion of hers is gardening, especially using native, drought-tolerant plants.
