Leo Leckie

Leo works remotely for Wolf Connection from Yellowstone National Park, where he has been a wild wolf guide, researcher, historian, and storyteller. Living among the wild wolves of Yellowstone has provided him with a unique perspective and experience that he shares through storytelling today. Leo’s favorite hobby is chronicling the individual life stories and pack stories, as well as the genealogy of Yellowstone wolves through the Yellowstone Wolf Family Tree; Ancestry.com’s largest and most unique family tree with 800 human guests and over 1,300 Yellowstone wolves! (Contact him if you want to become a guest of the tree). One of the many things he loves about Wolf Connection is the empowering impact that the life stories of the sanctuary’s wolves have on humans. Being a part of something that transforms human experience the way that the wolves do is deeply meaningful to and impactful for him. Leo came to Wolf Connection back in 2019 when the stars aligned, and the universe opened doorways to allow me to meet Teo and Renee Alfero at Yellowstone. The rest is Wolf Connection history.
