Journey, named after the book Journey: Based on the True Story of OR7, the Most Famous Wolf in the West, was discovered alongside her siblings Rome and Wander, and her parents Beowulf and Abeona, in a locked truck in the sweltering heat near Sacramento, CA. Animal Control rescued the family, transferring them to a nearby no-kill shelter where their urgent need for help was recognized. Upon learning of their situation, we felt a strong calling to meet them all.

Journey has faced significant challenges in her young life, having undergone multiple surgeries due to accidental injuries. Despite these setbacks, she has shown incredible resilience and a true survivor’s spirit.

Her eagerness to explore new environments and make new acquaintances adds a delightful energy to the pack. Her ability to embrace life with such positivity serves as an inspiration to those around her, reminding us all of the importance of courage, connection, and the joy that can be found even in the face of adversity.
