Koa arrived at Wolf Connection alongside her packmate Hook after both were temporarily housed at a Delaware Zoo. They were confiscated from a private owner who lacked the proper licensing and was attempting to transport them across state lines. After carefully vetting numerous sanctuaries across the country, the Zoo determined that we would be the ideal forever home for them.

Koa possesses a sweet and playfully curious demeanor, which makes her an endearing presence in our pack. While she can be occasionally shy, her inherent belief that everyone is her friend allows her to warm up quickly to new faces. This openness fosters connections not only with humans but also with her fellow wolves.

One of Koa’s standout qualities is her vigilant nature; she excels at keeping a watchful eye on all the other wolves in the den. Nothing escapes her notice! Whether it’s a playful romp or a quiet moment, Koa is always alert, ensuring that her pack is safe and engaged.
