We were contacted by a rescue liaison who learned about Lakota through a shelter in Bend, Oregon. He had been surrendered by his family after repeatedly escaping, and with Animal Control unable to find an alternative solution, they sought a sanctuary placement for him. Unfortunately, Lakota was placed in isolation and was scheduled for euthanasia when we received the urgent call.

From the moment we laid eyes on his beautifully soulful eyes, we knew he would be a wonderful addition to our pack. There was an undeniable spark in him, hinting at the vibrant personality waiting to shine.

Since joining us, Lakota has brought immense joy to our team with his hilarious antics and lively spirit. His playful nature and boundless energy are infectious, uplifting everyone around him. Whether he’s engaging in spirited play with his fellow packmates or charming humans with his quirky behavior, Lakota has a unique ability to lighten the mood and create a sense of camaraderie.
